What a week for Newsrooms..

What an extraordinary week in politics for my fellow multi-media journalists in the newsrooms around the UK.

Liz Truss has resigned as Prime Minister after 45 days and a new leadership contest has begun.

There’s nothing quite like the fast-paced news-driven environment of a newsroom, especially in today’s rapidly changing political situation.

All credit to those working around the clock to gather and report on breaking news. Its times like these that I miss the high energy, collective pressure and shared sense of purpose found in this environment.

Covering the news, events and human-interest stories has always mattered to me and I am passionate about it.
